Forest Women's Center offers a range of OB/ GYN services, including a full scope Midwifery practice. There are three Certified Nurse Midwives; Nancy Prothero, Tamra Thompson and Mary Kwiecinski. Each CNM has their Masters of Science in Nursing degree and is a Licensed Nurse Practitioner . We feature Centering Pregnancy, which is group prenatal care that provides 20 hours of prenatal education, a hospital tour, and a 2 hour introduction to breastfeeding class. Our Midwifery practice also offers traditional pre-natal visits. Our babies are birthed at Virginia Baptist Hospital, a family-centered facility which supports each woman's individual needs.
