Birth Circle Schedule
Birth Circle is an informal gathering of mothers and mothers-to-be. We hold that pregnancy is a normal, healthy life process that should be honored and respected. We dialogue about informed choices for birthing women and their families and seek to support each other in our childbearing years. We share our experiences, our resources, our birth stories, our hopes, our fears, our questions, our concerns, and our joys. We celebrate birth!
Birth Circle meets the 2nd Monday of each month from 7:00-9:00 at 661 N. Main St. Call Melaine Copeland at 540-433-7738 for more info.

Educational Series
Birth Matters Harrisonburg is pleased to announce the return of our Educational Series on March 24th! We have changed our meeting time to every fourth Tuesday of the month, but the time has remained the same: 7:00- 9:00 p.m. Another change is that in March, April and May, we will be meeting at Clementine Cafe, downstairs, 153 S. March – Birth Art
Join local artists and moms to explore the wonder and beauty of pregnancy through photography, sketches, henna tattoos, and more.
April – Cloth Diapering
Kristen Gallagher and Rian Chandler, from Nature’s Child, will join us again this year, this time loaded with all the info (and products!) you need to successfully and easily diaper your child in an eco-friendly and economical way.
May – Movie: The Business of Being Born
Birth is a miracle, a rite of passage, a natural part of life. But birth is also big business. Should most births be viewed as a natural life process, or should every delivery be treated as a potentially catastrophic medical emergency? Actress Ricki Lake and filmmaker Abby Epstein explore these questions and more, and so will we.
June – Prenatal Yoga
We’ll be meeting at The Center, 70 N. Mason St., Suite 10, Harrisonburg to spend an evening dedicated to help us strengthen, invigorate, calm…to exercise from the inside out, with Suzanne McCahill Perrine. |
