Mother-Friendly Childbirth Initiative
The Coalition for Improving Maternity Services (CIMS) has developed a list of philosophical principles that, when followed, lead to healthier outcomes for mothers and babies. See Ten Questions to Ask for a consumer friendly version of the Initiative or for more information read the Mother-Friendly Childbirth Initiative. These principles can be followed by any maternity care provider and we highly recommend you find a care provider who believes in and practices these principles.
