What can you do to protect evidence based healthcare?
  1. Let your care provider know that you are an informed consumer and you expect him/her to share scientific evidence for recommendations of care.
  2. Don’t be afraid to hold a care-provider accountable for less-than-adequate care.  You have the right to write a letter to the Board of Medicine or the hospital where your care provider has privileges, if you feel your care provider was irresponsible with your care.
  3. Let your state representatives know that quality maternity care and safe maternity choices matter to you. Visit VA Birth PAC and VA General Assembly
