Birth Matters Virginia's
10th Annual Awards & Fundraiser Event

We are pleased to welcome
Ina May Gaskin

Viewed as "the mother of authentic midwifery," Ina May Gaskin, MA, CPM, has practiced at The Farm Midwifery Center since 1971, which is praised for its low rates of intervention, mortality and morbidity.  Ms. Gaskin is the author of the acclaimed book Spiritual Midwifery, and been a keynote speaker at conferences across the globe, educating both midwives and those in the medical profession. She also has the honor of being the only midwife to have an obstetric maneuver named after her - the Gaskin maneuver. Ina May Gaskin is a celebrity in the world of midwifery, and we are exited to present her to our community.
