Birth Matters Charlottesville sponsors three different programs for the greater Charlottesville area.

Birth Circle is an informal gathering of women who are pregnant, have recently given birth, are contemplating becoming pregnant, or who are just interested in being around such women.
We hold that pregnancy is a normal, healthy life process that should be honored and respected. We dialogue about informed choices for birthing women and their families and seek to support each other in our childbearing years. We share our experiences, our resources, our birth stories, our hopes, our fears, our questions, our concerns, and our joys.

The Birth Series offers different presentations focusing on various aspects of pregnancy, birth, and mothering. What can you expect?

- Hear new perspectives on common pregnancy questions from the midwives model of care.
- Transform your birth experience into a healthy, peaceful, and empowering one.

Community Night features guest speakers on topics not necessarily specific to pregnancy or childbirth but of interest to new and expectant parents such as cloth diapering and child development. It also provides, on alternate months, a regular space for partners, spouses,
friends and relatives to enjoy the community that Birth Circle gives moms and moms-to-be every month.
